Mono Threads

Mono Threads are smooth monofiliament stimulating threads, pre threaded onto a small needle. They are made from PDO (Polydiaxanone) which has been used in surgery for over 30 years.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

These threads are placed in the dermal layer of the skin and initiate the formation of new collagen which improves skin firmness and elasticity.

Mono Threads are versatile and can be used in many areas across the face and body. Treatment areas include:

  • Face: nasolabial lines, marionette lines, upper cheeks, jowl area, crows feet, vermillion border, eye area, sagging face.

  • Neck and décolletage.

  • Body: Sagging breasts, Elbows, knees, upper arms, thighs, loose abdominal skin, buttocks.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

Mono Threads are completely absorbed by the body about 3-4 months after treatment. The resulting collagen stays in the skin providing structure longer term.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?

As with any injectables, the most common side effects are those of putting a needle into the skin eg bruising or redness. It is regarded as a low risk procedure, but other possible side effects and complications are discussed at consultation. There is usually no downtime, or minimal, involved. We apply mineral makeup straight after treatment, so clients can return to work immediately without problem.
