At Clinique Elan we are using the latest technology in skin needling with the Dermastamp. Clinically proven to induce collagen and reduce scarring, this German engineered stamping device increases skin stimulation and takes standard skin needling to a new level. Dermastamping is a fantastic treatment to improve acne scarring, refine fine lines and wrinkles, break down pigmentation and reduce pore size.
How does it work?
The Dermastamp uses very fine needles penetrated vertically to create channels into the skin, for ultimate infusion of hyaluronic acid and other collagen stimulating ingredients promoting tissue stimulation and skin rejuvenation. This is unlike any heat based technology, as there is no skin burning or skin coagulation.
As with any skin treatment, we recommend a series of 3-6 treatments for optimal results, followed by a yearly re-treat.
How long does it last?
Treatment results are at their maximum around six months post series, although start to show about six weeks following the first appointment. To enhance results and improve longevity, we recommend the use of a home care roller, combined with the use of active skin care products available at the clinic.
Are there any side effects?
Immediately post treatment you can expect redness (inflammatory reaction) which lasts anywhere from 12-48 hours. Bruising or puffiness may occur post treament, usually this resolves in a few days. In order to rescue visible redness and maintain the well being of your skin, we strongly recommend the use of the post procedure kit (to be purchased in salon) following every dermastamping treatment.
How much does it cost?
Full face stamping treatment: $495.
Half Face stamping: $410.
Peri Oral or Peri Orbital (Around the eyes or mouth): $295.
Prepay for three full face treatments and receive your post care kit free (value $181.)
Prepayments can be paid in increments or a lump sum.
Dermstamping can also be combined with PRP (platelet rich plasma) - our version of the Vampire Facial, for the ultimate in collagen induction and skin rejuvenation.
Dermal rolling is a procedure whereby a hand held roller, covered in multiple fine needles, is rolled over a small patch of skin several times in different directions, and then repeated until the whole area being targeted is covered. As with Dermastamping, the benefits are collagen regeneration for softening of fine lines and wrinkles, reduction in pore size and improvement in pigmentation. It also creates pathways for increased penetration and absorption of active skin care products or PRP, (platelet rich plasma), therefore enhancing the results listed above.
We use the Dermstamp for faces in most instances, but the roller is more appropriate when treating necks, chests, hands, stretch marks on the abdomen or other areas of the body.
We also sell rollers for home use. The needles are much shorter in length, so well tolerated without anaesthetic. They are ideal as a compliment to stamping or rolling, or simply to increase absorption and efficacy of home skin care products.
