I opened Clinique Elan at 47 Pembroke Street in January 2013. It took me a long time to find a name for my clinic, that would reflect the atmosphere I wanted to create. When I heard the meaning of Elan, I knew I had found the perfect name. It is French, meaning panache, style, elegance, energy, spirit and enthusiasm. Our decor is elegantly stylish, yet clinical enough to convey that what happens here is taken very seriously. Our team is also stylish and definitely very enthusiastic about what we do.
I am Deborah Wake, an NZRN with 23 years of experience in the appearance medicine industry. After 18 years working for a large specialist clinic here in Hamilton, I decided it was time to set up my own business. I saw the need to establish a 100% dedicated appearance medicine clinic in the Waikato, run by professionals, catering for everyone's needs. While dermal fillers and botulinum toxin treatments are a large part of what we do, not everyone wants, needs or can afford these treatments. They are not always the best options anyway, so I wanted to be able to have something to offer everyone.
NZRN Toni Kelly has been with me from the beginning and between us we have expanded our services to reach that goal. Early in 2017, Jessica Lennan, also a RN, joined the team, enabling us to share some of the procedures, but also to specialise in our own areas of special interest. We now lead the Waikato in offering a comprehensive range of appearance medicine procedures to cater for all needs.
